Challenges: 9:00 am – 12:40 pm

REGISTERED TEAMS: There are 21 teams registered in this year’s tournament covering every challenge! A big thank you to the Team Leaders and their teams for all of their work to get this far as part of the creative journey!
EXPO ROOM: We are pleased to host an Expo/Activity Room situated in the gymnasium for students and visitors to enjoy. Thank you to Yukon Engineers, Total North Communications, Yukon College Kids Programs and Skills Yukon who have volunteered to enhance the fun at our DI Yukon Tournament! Back by popular demand, the PHOTO BOOTH will also be back in action!
MEDALS and PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES: In addition to the presentation of DI medals, participation certificates will be awarded to all participants.
PRIZES: A number of innovation prizes will be drawn from the hat at the close of the tournament. Thank you to TakingITGlobal/Connected North for donating a number of micro:bit kits as well as a DJI Osmo Pocket camera for the grand prize! DI Yukon is also donating a number of prizes. Don’t miss out!
SMILE! YOU’RE ON CAMERA! The tournament is open to the public and media. If a parent/caregiver does not wish to have their child’s picture posted on the Destination Imagination Yukon website, Facebook page or other Destination Imagination related materials, please advise us! One of our student film experts from FH Collins Secondary School will be compiling a number of photos and video during the tournament that will form a video montage of what Destination Imagination is and what does DI look like in Yukon? Keep an eye out for our film expert and get ready to talk DI!
CANTEEN: There will be a canteen available during the tournament which will include lunch options at a very minimal charge. Cookies, chips and juice boxes will also be made available.
DI Yukon Champions: A number of grade 8 students from FH Collins Secondary have offered to volunteer their time to assist teams with registration, t-shirt distribution, recognition of sponsors, running scores and other DI related tasks associated with the tournament. If you need assistance, ask a Champion!
SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Destination Imagination Yukon Society is pleased to sponsor a special presentation in the Expo Room at 1 pm for everyone! Culture and collaboration: Come and dance together!
